the company
Our company was founded in 1970 by Georgios Baladinas and is based in Itea, Karditsa. In 2003 it was moved to new facilities and then in 2012 the company expanded its storage facilities to better serve its customers.
The facilities
The main object of the company is the trade and distribution of food, beverages and haberdashery. We supply kiosks, canteens, large Super Market chains as well as the prisons and military units of Thessaly. We are next to every small and large point.
Quality certification
In our business, we operate with the main purpose of ensuring the quality of the products we trade. We have a certificate from the Q-check organization that confirms that the company Balantinas Dimitrios & Co. EE has developed and implemented a Food Safety Management System in accordance with the requirements of the standard: ISO 22000:2018 in the scope of application ''Trade and storage of dry and refrigerated food and beverages''.
ISO 9001:2015 requires the existence of a Management System that includes principles and management requirements regarding quality, emphasizing the customer, the participation of top management, the establishment and monitoring of quality objectives and continuous improvement.
Collaborations
Our company is a representative of the companies ION, Hausbrandt, Nikas, Optima, Jannis, Servin, Florina for selected areas of Thessaly for each one and a selected partner of the companies Vikos, Pegasos, Viva, EZA and many more companies. While in recent years we have developed intense import activity from selected foreign companies.
